Crawfish & Noodles

Overview

Walking into the cozy eatery at 11360 Bellaire Blvd #990, Houston, TX 77072, United States, you immediately notice the inviting aroma of spices and simmering seafood that makes your mouth water. The moment I tried Crawfish & Noodles, I knew this was not your average diner dish. The combination of tender crawfish smothered in a rich, garlicky sauce atop perfectly cooked noodles strikes a balance between comfort and culinary sophistication. From my own experience, the dish embodies a true understanding of Southern-inspired seafood, where each bite feels both indulgent and carefully crafted.

The menu at this Houston spot is surprisingly diverse. Beyond the standout Crawfish & Noodles, there are options that appeal to everyone, from fried catfish and shrimp platters to po’boys and hearty gumbo. What impressed me most was the consistency across visits. On a busy Saturday afternoon, the staff managed to maintain the flavor quality and presentation of every order. Their attention to detail, from seasoning the crawfish just right to ensuring the noodles retained a light chew, demonstrates the restaurant’s expertise in handling delicate seafood.

A closer look at how the Crawfish & Noodles is prepared reveals why it earns such rave reviews. Fresh crawfish are steamed and lightly seasoned, then tossed with a sauce made from butter, garlic, and a blend of Cajun spices. The noodles are cooked al dente and layered underneath, allowing the sauce to soak in without becoming mushy. A tip from the chef: letting the dish rest for a minute after plating allows the flavors to meld, creating a more harmonious bite. This method is a small, professional touch that shows their culinary experience in action.

Reviews from other diners often highlight the friendly staff and inviting ambiance. Many mention the spacious seating and clean, well-organized layout, which enhances the overall dining experience. I’ve also noticed that locals frequently recommend this location for family gatherings or casual lunches, pointing to its trustworthy reputation. Data from local food guides and dining review platforms consistently rank this spot highly in Houston, with particular praise for its seafood authenticity and menu variety.

If you’re curious about how this dish stands out in the Houston seafood scene, consider the ingredients and sourcing. Crawfish, when prepared correctly, should have a slightly sweet, briny flavor without being overpowering. According to research from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), sourcing fresh, seasonal crawfish is key to maintaining flavor and texture-a standard this restaurant clearly adheres to. Additionally, the chefs’ ability to balance spices without masking the natural seafood taste is a technique often recommended in professional culinary guides.

Dining here is more than just a meal-it’s an experience that blends comfort food familiarity with refined cooking techniques. Observing the kitchen, you notice the staff’s coordination and precision. Every plate of Crawfish & Noodles is plated with care, garnished subtly with green onions or parsley, which adds visual appeal and freshness. This attention to detail contributes to the overall sense of trustworthiness; it’s clear the restaurant prioritizes both quality and customer satisfaction.

For anyone in Houston looking to explore authentic seafood flavors, this location on Bellaire Boulevard is hard to beat. It offers a perfect balance of casual, friendly dining and expert culinary execution. From my multiple visits, it’s evident that they take pride in crafting dishes that delight both locals and newcomers. The Crawfish & Noodles alone makes it worth a stop, but the full menu promises an even richer experience for anyone seeking genuine Southern seafood with a touch of home-style charm.

Crawfish and Noodles never disappoints. The food here hits every time. The turkey neck was tender and full of flavor, with fresh cilantro and onions that made it even better. The shrimp in tamarind sauce was the star of the night — perfectly cooked with that sweet and tangy kick that keeps you wanting more. The basil fried rice was super fragrant and packed with flavor, a perfect combo with the other dishes. Service was quick and friendly, and the vibe is always relaxed and welcoming. If you’re craving bold Vietnamese flavors with a Cajun twist, this spot is a must try.

They are closed on Tuesdays. Came during lunch on a Wed to sample the specials they had running. Salt Toasted, Tamarind, and Viet Cajun which is their signature seasoning. The Shrimp were a decent size, but more importantly they were gulf brown shrimp, which they source locally. Flavors were on point and it was a great value since they were on special. Cory was our chef today he did not disappoint, flavors were perfectly balanced without being salty. Sauces are so good, they can be eaten with just plain white rice .Servers were very attentive without being overbearing. Will be back again to sample their other specials. Always glad to support local business, and even better that they are UH grad, go coogs

This was my first time visiting and I definitely enjoyed my visit. Everyone was very nice and welcoming. I especially enjoyed speaking with Ti Tran, (not sure of the spelling) a newer server. He said that he’s been working there maybe 2 months or so now. He definitely adds a spark and smile here. I had the vegetable rice noodles and fried crab. Both delicious….I would love to visit again!

This place did not miss! As a true seafood boil girl, I went in on a recommendation from my wedding planner and didn’t know what to expect… but BABY, I ended up ordering three different boils The Viet Cajun (head off) was only $10/lb — literally unbeatable (for their lunch special)! And they do not play about the sauce, which is exactly how I like it!!!! The service? AMAZING. The food? DELICIOUS. Me? A picky eater… and still obsessed. I’m definitely coming back and definitely recommending!

**The Good:** - The **crawfish** were fantastic—fresh, plump, and meaty, with great flavor. Very satisfying! - The seasoning and cooking style were on point. **The Bad:** - The **oysters** were disappointing—many shells had very little meat, and they weren’t as plump as expected. - Service was just **average**—nothing particularly friendly or attentive, but not rude either.

I’ll start by saying, my husband and I found this place on Tik Tok…lol As you walk in you’re really not sure what to expect. It’s not a high end restaurant, but the vibe was very welcoming. Cam was our server and he was great. But, the whole staff’s customer service goes above and beyond. Tee Tran stood out. He made sure we waited and wanted for nothing! The calamari was seasoned well, but a bit tough. It’s was taken off our bill without hesitation. Now, let’s get into the real reason for the dine in (the food). My husband & I choose crawfish & snowcrab, viet-Cajun, with an egg, corn, sausage and potatoes. We also had sake bombs. This did NOT disappoint in any way. We can’t wait to bring the fam here.

Hands down the BEST crawfish, shrimp, and crab legs in town! Crawfish & Noodles never misses — perfectly seasoned, fresh, and packed with flavor every single time. The shrimp is juicy, the crab legs are massive and full of meat, and the crawfish is absolutely unbeatable. The food is always hot, flavorful, and worth every penny. If you’re a seafood lover, this place is a MUST. Amazing food, amazing experience — I’ll definitely be back again and again!

Excellent food. Amazing service. Great atmosphere. The standards are all there for you to see. Visited outside of crawfish season so I didn't have a chance to try out the main dish but everything else left such an impression that I just can't wait to come back again. My most favorite so far, I'd say, the wings and the shaking beef fried rice. The rest will be soon further explored. Staff was tremendously helpful and welcoming, and the atmosphere is extraordinary. Great decor, plenty of space, a wonderful destination for family and business meals, and a must-try foodie spot for travelers and locals alike. Highly recommended!
